Focus On The Customer
Green Lighting Group started in April of 2011 and secured its first client just a month later. During this initial period, GLG also developed iLighting Manager® – our web-based, individual light control system.
We continue to add new clients and new businesses. In 2014, GLG began distribution of energy saving lighting solutions. GLG’s distribution serves commercial, industrial and retail customers.
The management and staff at Green Lighting Group are customer focused and solution oriented. From designing the best solution to selecting the right product and finally installing the overall solution, clients rely on GLG for any or all of the lighting retrofit or new design process. Our primary goal is to provide the right light at the best price … ultimately saving energy costs and maintenance time and dollars.
Most importantly, GLG continues to push forward new thinking in light control technology. GLG adds new manufacturers each week in order to keep the best products in front of our customers.
Additionally, we are exploring reliable power line control (PLC) and broadband over power line (BPL) as communication tools to eliminate wiring for communications. Keeping up with current products and technology, underground lighting and remote control of Field Lighting are where GLG focuses R&D.
Our Alaskan Ownership and Heritage
Green Lighting Group is owned by The Kuskokwim Corporation (TKC), an Alaska Native Corporation. Because of this ownership, we are a minority business (MBE) for supplier diversity initatives. We are active and certified members of the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council (CVMSDC) part of the NMSDC.
As part of The Kuskokwim Corporation our earnings have a direct and positive impact on the lives of the more than 3,100 Yupik and Athabaskan Indians in the remote Kuskokwim River region. Our shareholders are bound together by a tradition rich in culture and history. When you do business with the Green Lighting Group, you are:
- saving money
- saving energy
- saving the environment
- helping to preserve a 10,000-year-old culture in one of the most remote regions of Alaska.
All of GLG’s net earnings create educational opportunities and provide healthcare for TKC shareholders.
